Title: The Little Things

Summary: During the ‘Year That Wasn’t’ Martha Jones survived a great many things. Things better off left unsaid, unremembered, but there are a few moments she can cherish. Snippets in time that had kept her alive, kept her sane and kept her going.

When she runs into one of those moments in the darkened streets of Manhattan Martha’s unsure what to say to Clint Barton, but she does blush at the memory of them and a children’s game. A game of truth or dare that left her with an intimate knowledge of the scars marring his body and a bounce in her step that lasted for days afterwards.

Unfortunately in the here and now he’s unknowing of that particular bit of their past and she’s staring.

Feel free to prompt more if you'd like. :)
This is great. :D Thank you! now of course, I really want this fic to actually exist so that I can read it.

*giggles* So not going to leave my original since you nearly left its twin for me. :D

1. I want Buffy/Tony Stark with the accidental-baby-acquisition

2. Buffy/Clint Barton pretending to be married
1. Buffy/Tony
“What is that?”

“It’s a baby.”

“I know its… how did it get here?”

“Well when a man and woman—”

“That’s not what I’m asking and you damn well know it!”

“Hush! You’re scaring it.”

“It? You don’t even know if it’s a he or she?”

“I didn’t think to check.”

“Of course not. Why would you? I mean that’s a ridiculous thought. Why would anyone check the sex of the kid they babynapped.”

“I did not baby—what did you just say? You know what? Nevermind.”

“Oh no! You don’t get to nevermind me! I’m not the one stealing kids!”

“I did not steal a child!”

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure you did."
Re: 1. Buffy/Tony
Mwahahahaha!!! Perfect! And really, no matter who you have starting the conversation, it works either way. :D
A surprisingly heavy arm was draped across her chest and a callused palm cupped her shoulder as Buffy studied the watermarked ceiling of a low income (or the whatever the Russian equivalent phrase happened to be) apartment. Her head turned, chin catching on her shoulder as green eyes focused on her partner in her first foray into the world of espionage and wondered how the frilly heck she’d allowed Fury to talk her into this particular assignment.

The hand cupping her shoulder flexed a moment before his eyes opened, the pupil spiraled inward and in the next instant he was fully awake and aware of his surroundings. Buffy wasn’t entirely sure how he, and Natasha, accomplished such a feat regardless of their caffeine intake or the situation they awoke to and since her own response time, especially early in the morning, tended towards the lacking unless the danger around her was evident—hunter instincts her Slayer-ass.

Re: Buffy/Clint
*bounces about madly*

Yay!! What a wonderful surprise to wake up to this morning. *bounces some more* Love the comparison on their waking techniques. :D Buffy is my kinda gal.

*snickers* Oh how I would love to see more of this. ;)

Now, off to this crazy, hopefully not FUBAR of a day. Work will be calmer after this and I'll be able to go back to focusing a little on writing again. :)

*whispers* And yes, I did buy Avengers yesterday. *bounces more*
